Welcome to JamPort ("we," "our," or "us"). JamPort is a music marketplace platform that connects music producers, artists, and fans. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and services.

By using JamPort, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our services.

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Account Information: Email address, full name, profile information (bio, avatar, social media links), account type (artist or fan), phone number (optional, for payment processing)
  • Payment Information: Payment method details (processed securely through PayScrow), transaction history, wallet balance and transaction records. We do not store credit card numbers or full payment credentials on our servers.
  • Content You Create: Music beats you upload (audio files, metadata, artwork), event listings, messages sent through our chat feature, reviews, comments, ratings, favorites and playlists.
  • Support Communications: Information you provide when contacting our support team, support ticket history.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device Information: Device type, model, operating system, unique device identifiers, mobile network information, IP address.
  • Usage Information: App features you access, beats you play/like/purchase, events you view/attend, search queries, time spent in app, navigation patterns.
  • Location Information (with your permission): Approximate location for event discovery, precise location only when explicitly shared.
  • Audio/Media Access (with your permission): Audio files you upload, images for profiles/events, camera access for profile photos.

2.3 Information from Third Parties

  • Authentication Services: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture. We do not access your Google account beyond what is necessary for authentication.
  • Payment Processors: Transaction confirmations from PayScrow, payment status updates.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • Service Provision: Create and manage accounts, process payments, deliver purchased beats/licenses, facilitate event ticket purchases, enable chat/messaging, provide customer support.
  • Platform Features: Display profiles and content, show personalized recommendations, enable search, process collaboration requests, manage favorites and playlists.
  • Communication: Send transaction confirmations, deliver event notifications, respond to support requests, send important service updates (you can opt out of marketing communications).
  • Analytics and Improvement: Analyze app usage, monitor performance, understand user preferences, conduct research and development.
  • Security and Compliance: Detect and prevent fraud, enforce Terms of Service, comply with legal obligations, protect user safety.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers provided by Firebase (Google Cloud Platform). Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You can request deletion of your account and data at any time.

We implement industry-standard encryption, secure authentication via Firebase Auth, regular security audits, access controls, and secure payment processing through PayScrow. In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities as required by law.

We use the following third-party services:

JamPort is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete that information promptly.

When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information, except where we are required to retain it for legal or legitimate business purposes.

14. Delete Account and Data

Users may request deletion of their JamPort account and associated personal data at any time. To request deletion, please send an email to jamporthq@yahoo.com with the subject line 'Delete My JamPort Account'.

Upon verification, we will permanently delete:

  • User account and profile information
  • Authentication credentials
  • User-generated content linked to the account (beats, events, uploads)

Some information may be retained for up to 30 days for legal, security, or backup purposes, after which it will be permanently removed.
